In text message 1, the language is very informal as the subject spoken about is casual. For example vowel omissions have been used for the word 'though' which has been shortened to 'tho'. Also, elisions are used when 'going to' has been typed as 'gotta'. The shortening of the phrases and words are due to the sociolect of the people conversing, who are teenagers. There isn't much punctuation or accurate spelling as the conversation in a situation that required rapid exchanges. The lack of punctuation is also something that occurs mostly in text messages and has been explained by John McWhorter in a TED talk where he said that "texting is the way we talk", which is why we don't use punctuation much in texts, because when we speak we don't need nor use it either.
